In It, Together

Microfinance has drawn millions of women into commercial economic activities for the first time, enabling them to take advantage of new opportunities and develop new roles as cash income earners and economically active members of the community. The impact of microfinance on women and their organizations shows that the United Nation’s goal to promote gender equality is key to achieving the target of halving extreme poverty and hunger by 2015.

Right Sharing of World Resources (RSWR) is a program of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) supporting grassroots projects for economic development and offering educational materials for the study of the lives of the poor, the lives of the rich, and the spiritual meaning of both.
