The 40 women will meet frequently (“at least twice per month”). Decisions will be made collectively by both the executive committee and members. Training is conducted prior to the implementation of the project. The forty women will be divided into four groups. Each group will work with a machine which is used to process cassava. Each group will own the machine collectively for a period of four years. At that time, the groups would have become self sufficient and four more machines will be purchased with the revolved funds to start new groups.

From Harold Johnson’s site visit report, “This project is run by the community and the people are doing well, even though they have so many constraints. The community sees to it that the women in the project put their all into the project as this is the first project to receive a letter from a funding body to evaluate their work. I was taken on a tour to see all the sites they have worked and I was impressed.”
